Prosperity tries the fortunate: adversity the great
Rose Kennedy

Do It Anyway! is my life’s motto and former name of this blog. As a fun-loving, happy, whole, and healed single mom, I love life! But, I haven’t always lived out loud. I had some rough years when my boys were small. But, when I survived my season of raising small children alone, having more bills than money, and being exhausted from crying all the time, I realized things had changed. I was better. I was stronger. When I look back, I see it was my determination to raise good boys and survive that kept me sane. Of course, The Good Lord kept me. And I am grateful. When I came back to myself, I was ready to take life on. You know to Do It Anyway!

Do you need to move past a certain season and take back your life? Are you ready to Do It Anyway in your life? Is your determination to move on non-existent? Is someone or something hindering you? It is never easy to walk away from someone or something that once brought you joy- that you knew was destiny. Sometimes, it isn’t to be. You’ve got to know when it’s time to fight for a thing and when it’s time to let go. In either case, I encourage you to listen to the still, small voice telling you which door to choose.

No one has it easy as the quote above states. We all go through at some point. But, no matter your state in life, you have more to do. The question is will you go for it? Will you do it anyway? We can all say what we would do but only time and life will have the last say. Look, single parenting is hard. I know. I live it every day like you, but that is no excuse to stop growing.

I’m not perfect. I have my moments. But I refuse to stay there. I refuse to live in the land of “just enough”. I know that I have a purpose and it is included in a broader vision. So, I move toward it.  I want to see the vision come to pass that God has given me. I can see it. I can taste it. I will have it. Side note: This is how I hope you talk to yourself.

Don’t you? What vision have you  dreamt for your life? Know that it can be. But, you must decide to take action.  Grit and determination are what you need. Will you answer the call to do it anyway? Tired, broke, single, alone, etc. Will you rise?

It’s time! Rise up. Speak up. Get up and…

Do it anyway!
