Are you ready for this! What I really want is life, health, strength, safety, and a clean home. To know my kiddos are safe is a great day for me. To know we have the little things makes me hapoy. So many are dealing with the pain of loss that I feel almost selfish for saying that. But, it’s my truth. No frills, gifts, etc. Just peace and safety. Oh! And a clean house. With two teen boys, clean can sometimes be relative. If you ask my boys, it’s certainly not going to be the same definition I have. So, what are you looking forward to on Mother’s Day? I’d love to hear from you!
P.S.
If they bring you one more heart-shaped card and a craft you can’t recognize, just smile knowing it is the thought that counts. These years go by so quickly. Enjoy them!
P.P.S.
Now, if God sees fit to send Boaz, I will take that! Really quickly. Haha! Ladies, I know you understand me.
Parenting and life in general isn’t easy. Love It Anyway!
I think I got my mother’s day gift already. Today when I picked up my daughter from school…her eyes were bursting open and she said “Mom hurry up and get in the car, I have to tell you something!” So we ran to the car and she hurried to tell me the latest thing that happened between her and her 5th grade girlfrineds. And me, as the mom, I must admit, it was really a juicy story for 5th grade so I was totally tuned in. The gift in this is the fact that she tells her mom stuff. I don’t remember doing that, or having the feeling that I could tell my mom anything…I mean, anything! My gift is her trust in me. I’ve been a single mom for 11 years, well, her whole life, and it hasn’t been easy. The main thing is like, am I doing this right? The fact that she can tell me whatever makes me feel like for now at least, I am. And that’s the best mother’s day gift I could ever ask for. Thank you Kaydy for your great smile and your platform for us moms who are doing pretty good raising our kids alone. And if God sees fit to send Boaz, hopefully he will take my daughter to buy me a card because she’s always looking for recruits around Mother’s Day. xoxo #BLMGirls
I love it. Yes, this journey wasn’t the plan and it is hard. But it is also so beautiful. You are amazing and I believe Boaz is on the horizon. Your little lady is wise to trust her mom. I love that your gift is so simple. You are perfect for her and doing a great job. I can tell. Rock on and thanks for stopping by!
