Hey sweet mama! I want to send a message from my heart to yours. “Enjoy today.” That’s it. Love on you. Get still. Breathe. Be thankful for what is. Don’t worry about what is not working. Just be. Let the negativity slide off of you like rain. (I wanted to say butter, but who wants butter on them?) 🙂
It happens to me you know? Perfectionism. It is a time suck and basically impossible to achieve. True statement: I sometimes try to please people. And, I get busy, overworked, antsy, worried, etc. We all sometimes, get bogged down in those. But then, I remember my past wins, my past failures at pleasing people or worrying, and then it becomes all right. I remember, my past survivals. I use my faith and the drama melts. Try it!
As a single mom, I find that we can be hard on ourselves. I hear from my friends, watch other moms, and listen to clients and we, collectively, have a hard time with loving on ourselves. We must learn to reflect, assess, and let it go. Doing this reflection let’s me know it will be okay. Maybe life is roses for you. Or, maybe it is sheer hell. I can tell you this- “It will be okay”. Walk through it. Find the good. It’s there. Release yourself from having total control. This is life. It prides itself on not letting you control it. You only get to control HOW you go through it. Be gracious to you and go.
What I do know is that there are people in your life who love and need you. Be there. Show up. Let loose and live.
Also, because many of you said you need to get organized, I made a pretty printable for you. Download the My Life Rocks Daily Planner Kaywanda Lamb and use it immediately. I filled in a few columns to give you an idea of how to plan your week. I’m a list girl, so writing things down makes my week easier. (Yes, I got carried away. The control freak in me has to know her plan!)
Side note: Taking 30 minutes to plan for a thing is better than flying by the seat of your pants. Record that favorite show and set aside time to plan your week or even just do it day by day. But there should be no more left out or forgotten items. Get organized and so you and your babies can enjoy life. A calm, organized, mama is a great mama.
Happy rest of the day! You absolutely got this! Rock on and …
