I have been soberly reminded by the news and the terrible happenings in our world that as a provider, mom, multi-hat wearer, I need to make sure I “hear” my kids. Yes, as parents, we love our kids, take care of them, protect them. But do we always “hear” them. I know I get busy with life trying to keep the fort in one place, and there are days when I’m just beat. I have to be intentional about asking them how their day went and if all is okay. It’s important. I don’t want anything to be said when they’re older about my not really “getting” them, or understanding them and their needs. So, this post is a reminder to all of us “world go rounders” to set time aside and engage our kids. You know, see what’s going on. I refuse to lose my boys working for things that aren’t as important as my boobas. Join me! We owe it to our kids and our future grandchildren. Let’s make memories as we make time.
Life’s busy. Do It Anyway.
